Jammu Airport has completed a modernization project with an investment of ₹ 1500 million in several phases. The project involves setting up of 3 numbers of aerobridge to provide comfort from harsh weather, an additional taxiing track for smoother operations, expansion of runway from 6700 feet to 8000 feet.
Now, the airport can handle A320 type aircraft at full load. The airport terminal has also been revamped from 6700 sq.feet to 14, 500 sq.feet with full amenities like escalators and elevators, besides a new parking facility
