Jabalpur Airport is set to receive a new terminal building at Jabalpur airport. AAI has decided to construct a new terminal building, extension of runway, new apron, new ATC tower-cum-technical block, new fire station, install ILS, relocate DVOR, construct a boundary wall and perimeter road at Jabalpur airport. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 421 crore.
The authority has initiated the tendering process for appointment of a project management consultant for the work. The building will be capable of handling 500 (250 arriving + 250 departing) peak hour passengers. After the new terminal building is constructed it will facilitate operation of two flights simultaneously.
In November 2019, the project work is nearing completing and is likely to get commissioned by February 2020
