GoAir is an Indian Low cost carrier based in Mumbai. It commenced operations in November 2005. It is the aviation foray of the Wadia Group.
The airline currently operates across 22 destinations over 140 daily flight and approximately 1500 weekly flights. The GoAir route network spans prominent business metropolis as well as key leisure destinations across the Indian subcontinent. The company currently uses 21 Airbus A320 aircrafts originated from the European consortium Airbus. Average age of the aircraft is 2.9 years. The aircraft can accommodate a maximum of 180 passengers at a time in a high-density layout. The company is adding three more Airbus A 320 to its fleet, and have order 140 more A320.
With new aviation policy in place the company is planning to start its international operation by end of CY17
