Chandigarh Airport is an international airport located between border of Haryana and Punjab. It connects to Dubai and Sharjah . It has a runway of over 9000 meters and has CAT 1 ILS facility. The short runway also does not allow operation of wide bodied aircraft. Currently, the airport is going through runway repair period.
In May 2018, the airport is planning to set up three additional aerobridges, taking the total number of operational ones to five, and a conveyor belt at domestic arrival. Currently, there are three aerobridges, but only two are operational.
