Adani group plans to expand the airstrip in Mundra to a full fledged commercial airport with integrated cargo and aerospace operations. The company will upgrade the airstrip to a runway capable of handling large passenger aircraft like Boeing 747 and Airbus A350. A passenger terminal building with a capacity of 300 passengers, to be increased in the future, facilities for MRO, cargo hub centre are all on the cards. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 15,000 million. The company is in the process of getting statutory clearance.
