Nagaland government is planning to develop two new airports in the state. The first one is the Cieuthu airport which is 20 kilometers from Kohima, the capital city. Land required for the project around 1013.72 acres have been acquired and is ready to be handed over for airport development. It also plans to develop a water borne airport Doyang water reservoir. Both the airports will be developed for UDAN.
