Union government has approved leasing out of three international airports in India – Thiruvananthapuram Airport in Kerala, Guwahati airport in Assam and Jaipur in Rajasthan. These airports will be leased out to Adani Enterprises Ltd who in turn will develop new facilities and bring them on par with international standards.
The company Adani Enterprises Ltd have won the bid for these three airports through international competitive bidding with higher revenue sharing to in Airports Authority of India.
It may be noted that, the request for proposal (RFQ) was invited in December 2018 and financial bids were opened in February 2019.
